So this is the second one of these I have done! They both happen to be pony tails which is FUNNY because I really never wear my hair in ponytails... I have the most sensitive head on the planet, and when I wear ponytails I can usually feel individual hairs being pulled! I think it has something to do with my head's mass and the subsequent gravitational pull. Kind of like the tide. BUT for some reason a 'put together' pony does not hurt me, whereas those sloppy ones are the WORST!
Anyways this is my recipe for my Textured Voluminous Ponytail. It was SO easy to put together and when I got like FIVE stranger compliments (yeah, I count my compliments, I count those babies like they are notifications and its my birthday) I thought "hey I should share this with my who readers"!
How To:
Step 1: After you washed your hair, wait until it is just damp almost dry. Separate your hair into 6 sections and you braid girl, you braid like its 1998 and you just got one of those dangerous toy braid machines.
Step 2: Wake up and un-do your braids. If you like that mermaid wave then DO NOT BRUSH OUT your braids. If you want a lot of volume AND texture, brush those babies out. You will look like this. Don't be afraid at this point.
VOLUME!
VOLLLLLUMMMEEEE
Step 3: Throw it up into a high pony. Check out that volume on the top! There is no backcombing needed!
I LOVE the all over texture!
I think it is very fun and cute! I added my Pink Pewter Headband for a little sparkle (Thanks Taleah)! All Finished!
Little Tip! If you want extra volume, pinch the hair just in front of the elastic and pull it forward out of the band. Keep doing this around the band until it is even. As seen below.
I'm always looking for ways to create more volume with my super thin hair! Thanks for the tips :) -Taleah
