Home Warming

My darling friend since the 1st grade has bought a house with her love and has moved away to find new adventure. Being a first time home owner is such an exciting experience, you can paint, re construct and plan to make it become your dream. I wanted to wish them an exciting and wonderful year and life together in their new home, so I decided to make them a celebration gift basket for their first morning in their new home.

The Mimosa Toast-a, Here's to the New Host-a Basket. (I just made that up).

Dollar store or Micheal's: I started by buying all of my art and wrapping supplies:
  • Brown raffia
  • Basket
  • Clear Cellophane
  • Pretty Ribbon
Kitchen store: If on a budget you can also get champagne glasses from a good dollar store.
  • 2 Champagne Glasses
Liquor Store: You can get a 12 dollar bottle of champagne... but it will taste bad. So I decided to buy a nice bottle of Prosseco that I had had before and knew was good.
  • 1 bottle of nice Prosseco
Grocery Store: Decorative fruit!
  • 3-4 oranges
  • 1-2 lemons
Assembly:
Fill the basket with the raffia and start planting things inside. Make sure everything is facing one way, and all labels are showing. Nothing should be hidden. You should be able to see it all.
Rearrange over and over until everything has its perfect place....

Wrapping:
You may need to tape two pieces of cellophane together to get nice coverage. Place the basket in the center and gather the cellophane at the top. Make sure its not too scrunchy around the front, you want to be able to see through it and see the present! Tie it up  tightly with the ribbon. Ta DA!
