Hmmm I don't easily admit this... Buttttt I realistically go to Starbucks 6 times a week! Ahhh that is a terrifying thought. But in truth, on weekdays I only buy coffee, so it's not as expensive as it sounds.
Here is a lil' post about how to save money on your StarBUCKS. I know that some of you unlucky ones are still studying for those Dec 17th or even 21st exams (BEEN THERE) and you need all the Starbucks you can get! I hope this helps!
First of all, let's not let Starbucks be too proud of themselves.
Starbucks constructive criticism:
-We know you are purposefully spelling our names wrong so we can be all "pshhhh! I'm posting this on facebook" and then head straight to our status, picture of cup in tow, equipped with some thing we think is clever, unique, and ironic, like.... "pretty close!" And then before we know it, we have promoted Starbucks to all of our friends. In no way shape or form does Pakwan sound like Sasha.
- why does it look like the mermaid is doing a toe touch? Has this bothered anyone else since they were a child?
- please develop a two line system. One for obnoxious drinks and one for just plain coffee. So many times I have walked into my local Starbucks in the morning and turned right back to my car because the line is 4 people deep..... That could take anywhere from 5-20 mins... How am I to know if this crew wants soy nonfat lactose free no whip no foam extra hot chai mocha lattes.... Or if they want a Pike Place. I'm not willing to take that risk and be late for work.

Here is how you can save on your Starbucks that you LOVE so!
1. Register your Starbucks card! They keep telling you to do it and your all like yaaaa yaaaaa yaaaa.
2. Keep reloading your card! They usually ask, so don't feel like you are inconveniencing them.
3. They will eventually send you a gold card after you have bought a certain amount on your registered card.
4. Repeat 1 and 2 with gold card.
5. Every 12** drinks you will get a free drink virtual voucher on your card that has a time limit so you don't have to use it right away. Save it for a day you want a venti very expensive latte!

5. Check your coupons on your card, or ask them to. You might have 1$ off a coffee or a free treat.
6. Track all of this on the ap ;)
7. Get a holiday drink stamp card!!!!!!! They usually don't offer so ask for it! I would have had so many free drinks by now if I had known! They will give you a sticker for every holiday drink you buy, and then after 5 you get a free one!
Fun Facts:
-ALSO they VERY often give you two stickers (one bonus) when you ask for a new sticker book... If you really want to be devious, you could keep asking for new books each visit and then just add them together.......! :O You devil you!
This has happened three times now!
-Don't stand for bad coffee. They will replace annnnnyyyyy drink and probably give you a free voucher if you are not 100% happy with your drink.
Me a few years ago in a Mc D burger eating contest... worst idea I have ever had. |
-Just say no to Tim Horton's...
Only in those scenarios when you are late for work, as Tim's is very Boom boom NEXT!
while *$ (see what I did there) is very not.
I don't have any real problem with Tim Horton's, but if I did, I would say I have two unique to me problems. 1. I grew up with Strong coffee, and Timmys is not cutting it.
2. I frequented Tim Horton's and McDonald's SO OFTEN in University that I LITERALLY CAN NOT eat there ever again. EVER.
All in all, these methods have saved me quite a bit of money! And I have only been following my rules for 4 months!
