I would not say I am an avid thrift store go'er. In fact, the only thrift store I do go to is a small, very clean, local thrift store. Every time I go, I find something unique and special. This Thrift Store is called 'Eversafe Ranch thrift shop' and it supports two amazing causes. They "provide support to families who due to unforeseen circumstances have to start again from scratch" and as well "help animals find homes and avoid “kill” shelters".
While browsing the kitchen area and enjoying the 40's music they were playing throughout the shop, I came across this adorable little glass thing! I wasn't sure what it was actually meant for, but I knew instantly what I would do with it! I turned it over and saw that it was under $5! I was sold. I brought it home and showed my Mom, who said that it was most likely a fancy butter dish.
Butter dish or not, it was now my fancy jewelry case. I use this dish for my current favorites. The jewelry that I am likely to wear on a daily basis. I love it so much and view it as one of my most prized pieces.
My boyfriend and I recently went to Paris, and visited the famous Laduree shop, where they make world famous Macaroons. This shop is very expensive.... but we were SO impressed and in love with the tiny little cookies! My boyfriend asked me how to say "We want every flavor except liquorish"!
It was our turn in line, and in my broken french I said "Bonjour! Nous voudrions chaque saveur, sauf réglisse se il vous plaît!". The very lovely French man laughed, and picked us out every flavor except liquorish! I seriously could not bear to part with these adorable little Parisian boxes, so I kept them and lugged them home, promising myself I would put them to good use! What better use than to hold my most special jewelry, such as my pearl necklace my Auntie gave me!
Until Next time!
