To my absolute delight, I often get asked what kind of makeup I use. I then go into a lengthy detailed description that has more to do with technique than specific product. I LOVE doing my friends' makeup. Each person has a different skin tone, eye color and shape of face making it new and exciting for me! Not bragging... (yes actually I am), but on a Friday night, I have been known to have a line up of girls waiting to get their makeup done by me! My favorite part is when I have finish and they feel and look fabulous. I will be very honest though, I am not nearlyyyy as good as my older sisters...
Which leads to the next question I get: "Where did you learn how to do your makeup". I started having my makeup done 'once in a blue moon' when I was like 6 years old. I was a real life dolly for my older sisters, they would curl my hair, do my make-up, and spray me with some perfume. I lovvvveddddd it. I loved to be fussed over, I loved having the undivided attention of my big sisters, and I loved how pretty I looked afterwards! I would come down stairs and my Mom would say "Only once in a blue moon" haha! I guess she didn't want me to become a toddler in Tiara. Anyways, along the way I have picked up many tips and hints.
The biggest gem I picked up was acquired when my sister was curling my hair and I was whining.
"Your pulling my hair! It hurts!"
"Beauty hurts Sasha".
LOL. I was probably nine and have never forgotten it. When I quote this now a days, I more apply it to the efforts that are necessary to achieve 'the look'.

"You are a vain little creature aren't you" (Sometimes its ok to think the song is about you).
